With The Cellar Door Project.

Created and performed by Mariah Horner, Nick Leno and Norah Paton.

Created on site at the Mackenzie King Estate over a week for Ramshackle Theatre’s performance event Theatre in the Bush, presented as part of Canada Scene 2017.

Inspired by the life of former Canadian Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King, who lived and died on the Estate, and particularly by his three dogs, MAN’S BEST FRIEND(S) invited audience members to witness, and participate, in a seance performed by Mackenzie King’s dogs. Humans pretending to be dogs pretending to be humans, the three performers played with the audience before each seance; is it really so strange to talk to spirits, if you just played catch with me?
